ISMRM Global Outreach Workshop in Thailand

MR Club of Thailand (MCT) is formed by Thai professionals from various fields (MD, technologist, and scientist) working on Magnetic Resonance (MR) technology for medicine. Our goal is to promote the use of MR technology and to initiate research collaboration in the rapidly advancing MR technology in Thailand and ASEAN.

The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) is a multi-disciplinary nonprofit association that promotes innovation, development, and application of magnetic resonance techniques in medicine and biology throughout the world.

This year MCT and ISMRM are co-hosting the ISMRM Global Outreach Workshop in Thailand during May 14th -16th, 2012. The topics covered will be accessible to a general audience of engineers, radiologists, and technologists. Both of the underlying scientific theories and the clinical applications of MR technology will be covered for the following key topics: Basic MRI, MR hardware, MR Spectroscopy (MRS), neuroimaging, and cardiac imaging. Furthermore, for each topic, leading local researchers will provide a perspective on the current on-going research in the field that is being done in Thailand. Also, there will be plenty of opportunity to network and talk with our distinguished invited speakers.

The workshop will be hosted at Ramathibodi hospital, View Larger Map Bangkok with expected attendance of 200 people.
The ISMRM international outreach program is sponsored by GEHealthcare, Philips, and Siemens.
